Ingredients That go Into This Delicious Pork Tenderloin Recipe

I like to keep my recipes simple, easy to understand and quick to prepare. The same goes for this pork tenderloin recipe! All you require are a couple of ingredients from your kitchen cabinet to prepare the seasoning – olive oil, black pepper, garlic powder, salt and the main ingredient – pork tenderloin!

This is one of the easiest pork tenderloin recipes, and in a couple of steps, you’ll have the most delicious Northwest style BBQ pork tenderloin ready in no time. Here are some things you need to consider before preparing smoked pork tenderloin:

Things to Keep in Mind When Preparing This Recipe

Temperature is an important factor when it comes to cooking pork tenderloin to perfection. You really don’t want to end up with a dry tenderloin that’s more chew than tender! As I mentioned before, I’ve spent quite some time mastering this pork tenderloin BBQ recipe. If there’s one lesson I’ve learned, it’s that proper temperature control while smoking is imperative in getting a perfect pork tenderloin.

Personally, I rely on the Inkbird Grill Meat Thermometer to monitor the temperature through the barbeque session, so that you end up with meat that’s grilled to perfection. The thermometer can be connected to your phone via WiFi so that you can keep a constant eye on the meat, as it’s cooking slowly on the pellet grill.

The next important aspect is to pick the right pork tenderloin. If your meat isn’t right, no matter how well you cook it, it’s not going to turn out tender. So when buying your meat, look for a pork tenderloin that is pinkish-red in color, with some marbling in the meat. The marbling indicates the presence of fat, and fat always enhances the inherent flavor of the meat. Steer clear from pale meat or meat with dark spots on it.

Now that we’re clear about the important aspects to consider when preparing this delicious recipe, let’s quickly run through the easy-peasy recipe to the lip-smacking pork tenderloin:

How to Make a Delicious Pork Tenderloin

In a small mixing bowl combine the seasonings with the olive oil. Mix until it resembles a paste.

Pour the seasoning paste over the pork tenderloin in a Ziplock bag, massaging the paste into the entire surface of the tenderloin. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours.

When ready to cook, remove it from the refrigerator. Start the grill and set the heat to 350 degrees. Cook the tenderloin for about 10 minutes and then flip, cooking another 10 minutes, or until the thermometer reads 140 degrees. Remove from the grill and rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
